Morris Defeats Liability Suit on Demurrer

July 23, 2007

Jeffery Morris defended four lawsuits filed against Chino Valley Unified School District wherein the Plaintiffs attempted to assign liability to the District for the acts of a former substitute teacher involving non-students. Arguing that a school district did not owe a duty under California Penal Code Section 11166 to students who were not under their custodial care, Mr. Morris successfully had the cases dismissed on Demurrer.
