Wilson Wins Wrongful Termination and Defamation Case

July 28, 2007

Lesa Wilson won a wrongful termination and defamation jury trial in Orange County Superior Court entitled Campbell v. Consolidated Restaurants. The Plaintiff alleged race discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of contract and defamation against her employer, the restaurant franchise. On Summary Adjudication, the Court granted Wilson's argument to dismiss the Plaintiff's race discrimination and wrongful termination causes of action. At trial, Wilson successfully defended the remaining allegations of defamation and breach of contract. The jury returned with a defense verdict in under one hour.
